North Bay helped arrange and execute the Management Buy-Out of Proceda, an IT services business, from MCI in 2004. Purchased by Votorantim Novos Negócios, Proceda was renamed TIVIT and trades on the BOVESPA (TIV3) with a market capitalization of more than R$1.5 billion.
Votorantim Novos Negócios is the private equity arm of the Votorantim Group, one of the largest industrial concerns in Brazil, with approximately US$ 16 billion in revenues. The Votorantim Group’s primary holdings are concentrated in cement, pulp and paper, agro-industry, mining and metals, energy, and financial services.
